Midwest Mustang And Burro Fun Show

This Saturday I hauled Lazzy and Rain up to Kansas to participate in a horse show for mustangs and it was such a blast! Just being around so many wonderful horses and owners was an amazing experience--so proud of all the mustangs!

Groomed and ready--just look at those tails!!

All the scrubbing paid off! Rain's whites were gleaming and she took FIRST!!! in Halter, Mares 3yr and older, Grand Reserve in Halter, and Second in Showmanship!! She also got 2nd in Walk/Trot! Lazzy didn't need as much show ring experience, so she was entered in mostly gaming events where I didn't think she'd do very well. She did get a 1st in In-Hand Trail, and a fourth in Barrels and a Fifth in Flags (did I mention the flag was a Walmart sack on a stick and it was a windy day?).
Lazzy watches the crazy costume class, next to a waving flag and some dogs-- riding her bareback (!!) is my trainer's teenage assistant Hailey.

He's All the Rage--Terri Lindley's Extreme Mustang Makeover Horse--Terri picked him up from the BLM on June 12th and in just 3 short months has transformed him into quite the gentleman! He reall raked in the ribbons!!
