Lost Pics

I was clearing off the camera and found a pic of Lazzy and Rain at the old pasture...

Mr Kodi last summer at Nanna's--I think he was about 14 in this pic, he can't jump up in the truck to go to Nanna's anymore. Plus he doesn't tolerate the rowdy youngins like he used to.

Oh look, there's a couple of rowdy youngins now... Roxy and Wolf.

Wolfie won't play with Roxy anymore--she's too big and actually wins--this was one of the last great rough houses:

Rain's new bosal

There were rumors around the hay bale that Rain was a little jealous that Lazzy and Cat had fancy turquoise headstalls and she had a hand-me-down bosal...

So,what else was I to do but put together a proper set up for Mizz Rain?

The turquoise conchos could be bigger, but there are more on the futurity knot brow band, so she's all happy now :-)

Rain and Lazzy hauled over to Red Tail Ranch for a double lesson in the indoor arena to prepare for an upcoming show. As far as I know, this is their first experience riding in an indoor arena, and they both did great. Lots of distractions with the pigeons, cars whizzing by the open ends, and other horses frolicking nearby.

Mari unexpectedly passed away this past year. A short time after I found her, through my tears I looked up and saw these clouds-- a wild horse leaping for the heavens -- and knew my beautiful angel, so wild, was free once more.
